Levi's 1st Buck!

Levi got his first buck (his 1st deer, for that matter) this morning. He was hunting with his grandfather while Ezra was hunting with Dad. Levi made a clean shot on this 5 point buck. He was so excited!!! Hopefully I'll be making a post soon about Ezra's first buck. :)

We All Scream For Ice Cream!!!

I picked these up at an auction. I knew the kids would love 'em.

Meek & Quiet Spirit

Over the weekend the ladies of our church had the opportunity to go to Springfield, MO for a Ladies' Retreat. We had 11 ladies go. That is really awesome when you consider we have about 60 people (including babies) at church on Sunday mornings.

The topic of the retreat was having an ornament of a meek and quiet spirit. I Peter 3:4. What a tremendous blessing it was. The Lord spoke to each of our hearts.

We also had a great time getting to know each other better.

Horse Sense eMagazine

Check out Cassidy's Blog. She just completed her first edition for her new emagazine Horse Sense. She took this project on all on her own. I just helped her to get it set up for the blog. Her plan is to have a new edition each month.

Olive Plants Round The Table

Today Cassidy reminded me of how precious this time of my life is to me. Dinner was over and we were clearing off the table. I mentioned, "man, look at all the dishes I have to do." To which she replied, "yeah, but someday you won't have all these dishes and you'll wish you did. Someday we are going to grow up and move out." I needed that reminder to stop and be thankful for the sink full of dishes because it meant I was enjoying my meal with many "little guests."

"Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table."
Psalm 128:1-3

Here's a picture of some of the clean dishes!

Here's a picture of a happy girl with a full tummy.

She wanted to be a helper also.

Busch Race

Matt won tickets to the NASCAR Busch Race in Kansas City. So he and the boys went this past Saturday. This was the first time the boys ever went to a NASCAR race. They loved it.

Kyle Bush was the winner.
