Another New Dress

Over the weekend I made Naomi another new dress. It's fun to make her dresses. Next I'm going to attempt to make Cassidy a dress. Maybe someday I'll make matching dresses for them.

Sprinkler Fun!

Today Matt fixed our outside spigot that wasn't working. The kids hooked the sprinkler up and put it under the trampoline. They had a great time. They were out there for about 2 hours...can't wait to see that water bill!!!

Backyard Friend

Ezra noticed this squirrel yesterday in a tree behind our house. He was having the greatest time eating that nut. He didn't even mind us taking pictures of him.

Another Day with Missy

This morning, like most mornings, we went over to see Missy. It's the highlight of Cassidy's day.

Cassidy takes great care of her horse. Sunday, Cass gave her a bath. Missy wasn't crazy about the hose so she had to just use a bucket and sponge.

I took a picture of Cassidy cleaning out her hoofs. It's a lot harder than it looks. Sometimes Missy doesn't want to lift her leg and then when she does she'll put her weight on it making it hard to keep it up.

Last day of vbs!!!

We had a great last day of vacation bible school. The local fire truck came and the kids got soaked!!! They had a blast!

We had a great week.

Our third week of revival went great also. This week's preacher was Amos Johnson from Sikeston, MO. It was a blessing to have him with us.

Sweet Corn

I love this time of year! Sweet corn and fresh tomatoes! We haven't had any tomatoes yet but today we picked some sweet corn.

A friend from church told us we could come over and get all the corn we wanted. So even though it was 92+ degrees we picked a bunch after bible school. The boys had their friend Owen with them today so that was nice to have an extra pair of hands.

Naomi wasn't too sure what to think about it all. It took me awhile to convince her to pick up an ear of corn so I could take her picture.

I was able to freeze some so we'll have it over the winter.

VBS Day 2

Day 2 of Bible School went very good. We had more kids today. Praise the Lord! 28 total. 19 boys and 9 girls. For their game today they had a shoe tossing contest. It's harder than it sounds for some of those little kids.

Singing

We had another great week of revival. Three more people were saved. Last night the boys sang "You are My All in All" while Cass accompanied.

Kitchen Help

Tonight our family provided the meal for the preacher and his wife that are here for this week's revival. Cassidy made the chocolate pies.

Little sister wanted to help too.

Thank you Cassidy for your help. They were delicious.

Naomi Rides Missy

Saturday evening we went, as a family, over to see Missy. Everyone had a turn to ride, including Naomi. At first she didn't like it, but once she knew Daddy wouldn't let go she did. Then she didn't want to get off!

Revival meetings

Last Sunday kicked off our seven weeks of revival services. What a blessing this week has been. We had three teenagers accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. And several other teens have come as well. It's been exciting to see God move in people's lives. We are looking forward to see what He will do next week.

Each Friday night we are having fellowship after the service. This picture shows Levi and Ezra enjoying pizza with their friends.

This is a picture of some of the teens that visited this week.

What a blessing to see our small fellowship hall almost full.

Sign Language

Yesterday we went to the library for an hour class on sign language for the kids. They were able to pick up a few new words. I spoke with the lady teaching and told her we would all like to learn sign language. She said she is going to try and start a class in Albany because there are some others who would like to learn. That would be great.

This was the sign for Disney World.

This sign was for octopus.

Birthday gift

Yesterday was my birthday. Levi and Ezra (with the help of dad) made me this picnic table. I love it. They did a wonderful job. Now we can eat outside under the tree in our back yard. Thank you boys!

Cassidy put these signs up around the house. Thank you Cass!

Fireworks!!!

Last night after church we went to the Albany Country Club and watched their firework display. They put on a good show.

My camera took some awesome pictures of the fireworks.

As you can see in this picture Naomi enjoyed them too.

Happy Birthday America!

Happy Birthday America! As you celebrate the Fourth of July with picnics and fireworks remember to thank our gracious God for giving us this land of the free. America may have it's problems but it's still the best country on earth! Remember to pray for our country, it's leaders and those fighting to keep it free.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.." Psalm 33:12

America
My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing:
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrim's pride,
From every mountain side
Let freedom ring!

Our fathers' God, to Thee,
Author of liberty,
To Thee we sing:
Long may our land be bright
With freedom's holy light;
Protect us by Thy might,
Great God, our King!

New Dress

I made Naomi this dress over the weekend. The fabric has little ladybugs on it. I thought it would make a great summer dress.
