Super Saturday
Most of the day was not windy but toward the afternoon the wind began to pick up. I needed to help Matt keep the tin up while he fastened it so it wouldn't blow him off the ladder.
Time for a water break.
The boys had their friend Owen over. They had a great time getting muddy in the creek. In this picture they are taking a break and drying out in a dirt ditch. Boys!!!!???
Cassidy came back from the pond with these bullfrog tadpoles. It's hard to tell from the pictures how big they are, but they are about the size of a small toad. Some are growing their legs. In the second picture you can see the one's head.

I got some great pictures of this butterfly...
Time to break for lunch.

Not A Good Night For Baseball
I'm going to get back to updating this more regularly. To start I'll tell you about the baseball game we went to last night. We got free tickets to see the Royals play the Orioles. The kids had a great time even though there was an hour and 52 minute rain delay and we ended up leaving in the middle of the 5th inning.
Naomi wasn't too sure about all the fireworks that were going off in the beginning.
She settled down quickly...especially after we broke out the candy.

The stadium gave out free umbrellas. They came in handy. Lucky for us we were just under the overhang so we only needed the umbrellas when the rain decided to blow sideways.

Gobble, Gobble
Check out Ezra's first turkey, a young jake. He shot it yesterday afternoon. This weekend was the youth turkey season. They were unable to go out Saturday because of the snow. Yes, I said snow. Thankfully it didn't accumulate on the ground but it was still snowing and the turkeys wouldn't be walking around. Yesterday it was still cold but the sun was out so they were able to go. The boys flipped a coin to see who could shoot first and Levi won. However, when the turkey got close only Ezra had a good shot at him. Levi was still very excited for Ezra and he'll still have a chance for a turkey in the regular season. Who knows, maybe Levi will get the bigger one. That's how it happened with the deer. Levi shot the first one, but Ezra shot the bigger one.
