Warmer Weather

It finally got warmer today (37) and the sun was out!!! Cassidy, Ezra, Naomi and I went out to see the horses for awhile this afternoon. Levi was with Dad working on a project.

This morning at 8:00am it was -19. The wind chill was -34. I think we'll stay inside today! :)

Happy Anniversary

This week was our 16th Wedding Anniversary! Matt had these lovely flowers delivered to the house. It was a nice surprise. We also went out for dinner with the kids. We've made it a tradition for the past couple of years to include the kids in our anniversary dinner. They enjoy being a part. Matt and I can go by ourselves some other time.

Our Newest Addition

Missy has a new friend. Her name is Shadow. She is a 3yr old mare. We got her so Missy would have a companion. Cassidy will attempt to train her over the years so she will be ready for Naomi when the time comes. Shadow is a sweet horse but has a lot of learning to do.

The name Shadow fits her perfectly, don't you think?

More Ice Pictures

Ice Storm

This branch just missed our van.

No damage was done when this branch hit our roof.

Or when it fell onto the porch.


I was thanking the Lord that the electricity only went out for a few minutes. When I was a kid I thought it was cool to have the electric go out, but now that I know how much money is sitting in our refrigerator and freezers I don't think it's so cool anymore. I'm praying that tonight it will stay on as we still have some more ice coming.

Snow Adventures

The other day before the ice storm hit the kids and I went out to the garage to play! Matt got an old snowmobile running and the boys were having a lot of fun.

Ezra took Naomi for a slow ride. She loved it.

Levi enjoyed running the 4-wheeler through the snow.

We had Naomi all bundled up. She almost couldn't move.
